All gates are operational.

**Please check that your remote controls have new batteries, and you know your gate code, if needed.

** In the event of a power outage, gates that are closed will switch over to emergency power and will open 30 seconds after the power outage. The gates will remain open and will resume normal operation after power is restored.

How to operate the gates

Aurora Rd (SR43) -Signature Dr - Capilano Drive

Current Hours of Operation: Gates are in the open position from 6AM – 7PM.
Entrance North (A2): Operates using remote control, entry code or visitor call.
Exit North (A1): A magnetic strip is embedded in the asphalt.  Operates by a magnetic strip that is in the asphalt near the gate. The gate will open as a vehicle passes over the magnetic strip.

Aurora Rd (SR43) -Signature Dr - Capilano Drive

Current Hours of Operation: Gates are in the open position from 6AM – 7PM.
Entrance South (A3 ): Operates using remote control, entry code or visitor call.
Exit South (A4): Operates by a magnetic strip that is in the asphalt near the gate.  The gate will open as a vehicle passes over the magnetic strip.

Castle Pines/Pettibone

Current Hours of Operation: Gates are in the closed position at all times.
Entrance (C1): Operates using remote control only. 
Exit (C2): Operates using remote control only. 

Stockwood/Pettibone

Current Hours of Operation: Gates are in the open position from 6AM – 7PM.
Entrance (S1 & S2): Operates using remote control, entry code or visitor call.
Exit (S3 & S4): Operates by a magnetic strip that is in the asphalt near the gate.  The gate will open as a vehicle passes over the magnetic strip.

Liberty/Stockwood

Current Hours of Operation: Gates are in the closed position at all times.
Entrance (L2): Operates using remote control, entry code or visitor call.
Exit (L1): Operates by a magnetic strip that is in the asphalt near the gate. The gate will open as a vehicle passes over the magnetic strip.

Requesting Access with a Remote Control

• Residents can use their remote control to open the entrance or exit gate.

• Some automobiles are equipped with a built-in remote control keypad that can be used to open the gates if it is programmed.  Review your automobile manual for instructions on how to program your automobile built-in remote control.

Requesting Access with an Entry Code

• Residents have to key in their entry code.   Up to eight seconds are allowed between each keystroke.

• All digits of the entry code must be entered. Example: If the entry code length is set for four digits, and the code is 0042, the user must enter “0 0 4 2”.

• If the wrong key is pressed, pressing the key will reset the keypad. The correct code can then be entered.

• After a correct code is entered the gate will open.

Requesting Access with a Visitor Call

• Press  to view the directory.

• The visitor scrolls through the alphabetical directory entries Viewing the resident names and associated directory numbers by pressing or  on the keypad. (Holding down the keys will scroll the display faster.)

• If the visitor already knows the resident’s directory number, they can enter the directory number to call the resident.

• The system dials the resident’s telephone number to establish 2-way communications.

✦ NOTE: The resident’s telephone number will never be displayed to the visitor.

• If the resident is using the telephone at the same time a visitor calls, the display will indicate to the visitor that the line is busy.

• The resident answers the call and converses with the visitor to determine if access will be granted.

• The resident can use their telephone’s keypad to grant access activating by pressing . After access is granted, the system will disconnect the visitor and resident call.

• The resident can disconnect the visitor without granting access by pressing or by hanging up.

• The length of time the visitor is allowed to talk is up to 255 seconds. The resident will hear a series of beeps during the last 10 seconds of talk time. To restart the talk timer, the

resident can press on their telephone.

How to order a remote control

• Please contact Barnett Management at (216) 831-0165 or barry@barnettmanagement.com if you need to order a remote control or to update your entrance code or phone number in the gate system.   If you already have a remote control, please make sure you change the batteries in the remote every year.

Emergency Exits

In the event of a power outage, the following gates are designated emergency exits for residents.  In the event of an emergency involving Fire trucks, Ambulances, Police or other vehicles, please let them know to use these emergency exits during a power outage.

Aurora Rd (SR43) -Signature Dr - Capilano Dr (North):entrance gate is an emergency exit.  If there is a power outage, this gate will automatically open and will remain in the open position until the power resumes.

Aurora Rd. (SR43) -Signature Dr - Capilano Dr (South): The entrance gate is an emergency exit.  If there is a power outage, this gate will automatically open and will remain in the open position until the power resumes.

Liberty/Stockwood: The entrance gate is an emergency exit.  If there is a power outage, this gate will automatically open and will remain in the open position until the power resumes.

Stockwood/Pettibone: The exit gate is an emergency exit. If there is a power outage, this gate will automatically open and will remain in the open position until the power resumes.

Castle Pines: The entrance gate is an emergency exit.  If there is a power outage, this gate will automatically open and will remain in the open position until the power resumes.

How to report a problem

Is there a problem with the gates?

 If you notice an issue with any of the gates, please contact Barnett Management at barry@barnettmanagement.com or (216) 831-0165 and provide him with the gate code that is marked on the post.  Each gate in the community will be marked with a 2 character code, one letter and one number.  This code will make it easier for residents, management and suppliers to identify the gates if there are issues.    

Note: The letter in the code identifies the street or entrance street for the gate, followed by 1, 2 , 3 or 4.  A - Aurora Rd , C -Castle Pines, S - Stockwood/Pettibone,  L - Liberty

S3 & S4 are wired on the same battery backup for a total of 5 gate locations with emergency exits.
