LANDSCAPING & LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE COMMITTEE

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review Association By Laws, Declaration of Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions in order to fulfill the duties/responsibilities of this committee, and to make recommendations for any changes that may be needed.
• The Landscaping and Landscape Architecture Committee is responsible to the Signature of Solon Master Association for the maintenance of the Areas of Common Responsibility (Common Areas) in a clean, safe, neat, healthy and workable condition.
• The umbrella of landscaping will cover the operation, maintenance, repair or replacement of the following:      

  1.) Landscaping and maintenance of the entranceway areas (excluding Golf Club entrances) into development.

  2.) Landscaping and maintenance of those common areas that due to their aesthetic location have been seeded with grass.

  3.) Maintain the related landscaping facilities such as irrigation systems, decorative screening walls, signage, pond and retention areas.

  4.) Maintain those common grounds that are wooded in nature or that are designated wetlands in a safe and clean condition.

  5.) Snow plowing of all private streets belonging to the Master Association.

• Prepare landscaping plans and related budget and present to the Board of Trustees for approval.
• Prepare bid specifications for needed work.  Screen and make recommendation to Board of Trustees for contractors to perform this work.    
• Manage the execution of the work that has been approved by the Board.
• Work with residents (through Barnett Management Company) to resolve questions or issues as they relate to the activities of the Landscaping & Landscape Architecture Committee.
• Prepare annual budget for activities of the Landscaping & Landscape Architecture Committee and submit to the Finance Committee.
• Present results of efforts to the Master Association of Signature of Solon at the annual meeting.
