A Message from the Streets/Gates/Safety Committee :
Our electrical contractor is in the process of replacing all of the battery backups at our gates. The Committee is working with the electrical contractor on this issue. The schedule is to test 1 gate beginning late June/early July, 2009, with the newly installed backup. If this is successful, the contractor will begin the process of ordering and replacing battery backups for all gates. You will be kept informed of the progress.
Solon Police Enforcement Update:
The project to change our speed limit and stop signs to meet Ohio code and allow Solon police enforcement is underway. The City of Solon has agreed to provide the design and assist with the implementation. The design was completed in March and we are awaiting implementation details from the City Engineers office. Once we have these details, we will be able to forecast an installation date. Residents will be kept informed of the status.
Construction Update
PETTIBONE ROAD / CASTLE PINES DRIVE INTERSECTION |
The entrance to Signature of Solon from Pettibone Road (Castle Pines Drive) will be closed to all traffic for fifteen (15) calendar days starting on June 17, 2009 for construction grading and paving work. All traffic entering Signature of Solon shall use the Aurora Road/Signature Drive entrance during this time period.
The entrance to Signature of Solon from Pettibone Road (Castle Pines Drive) will open for traffic on July 2, 2009 at 7:00 AM weather permitting.
For your safety, please observe posted speed limits in the construction zone.
PETTIBONE ROAD /STOCKWOOD DRIVE INTERSECTION
The entrance to Signature of Solon from Pettibone Road (Stockwood Drive) will continue to be closed due to construction. The paving of the entrance will begin Monday, June 15, 2009, weather permitting.
PETTIBONE ROAD/ROLLINGBROOK TRAIL
The paving at the entrance to Rollingbrook will be completed this week, weather permitting. Traffic entering and exiting Rollingbrook will switch to the new pavement on Wednesday, June 17, 2009.

Design Review Committee

Effective immediately, all plans for new construction, home additions, or exterior modifications as well as the initial major landscaping plan must be sent to:

Please submit plans accompanied by a check for $75.00 payable to SOSHOA.
The plans will be reviewed by a licensed architect, Harvey Ofer, for compliance with our covenants. His approval, or any required changes will be communicated to the homeowner by the Design Review Committee after reviewing Mr. Ofer's recommendation.
All other issues or ongoing violations of the covenants should be directed to the Members of the Design Review Committee. (see Committee roster) These plans may be left at the Clubhouse, or you may contact a committee member.

A Message From the Board
Please make certain that any trash cans/recycle bins are placed outside no earlier than dusk on Sunday evening, and are put INSIDE within 24 hours. We remind residents that cans are NOT TO BE PLACED IN THE STREET AS THIS IS A ROAD HAZARD. Please ensure that all cans have SECURE LIDS to avoid debris on the streets, neighbor's yards, and vacant lots. We ask your cooperation in promptly CLEANING UP any errant trash on or near your property. Let's all PITCH IN and keep our community safe and beautiful!
Allied Waste - SOS
Per the regulations of the Ohio EPA, the Glenwillow Solid Waste Transfer Station cannot accept hazardous wastes, asbestos or asbestos containing material, liquid wastes or wastes containing liquid that can readily be released, radioactive wastes, untreated infectious wastes, lead acid batteries or whole shredded scrap tires. Do not place these materials in your solid waste containers. If you have any questions about these materials please notify us immediately and we will have a company representative discuss these materials with you.
